Strategic meeting in London with H.E. Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner and KBR to advance infrastructure cooperation in the DRC

Carousel Finance SA had the honor of organizing a high-level strategic meeting in Whitehall, London, bringing together Her Excellency Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and representatives of KBR Inc., one of the world’s leading engineering and infrastructure groups.

This important meeting formed part of the ongoing international mobilization around major development opportunities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with a particular focus on large-scale infrastructure projects in the fields of energy and electricity, where KBR’s global expertise can play a significant role.

During the discussions, particular attention was given to the Kinshasa Kia Mona project, one of the most ambitious urban and economic transformation initiatives currently being structured in Central Africa. In this context, Carousel Finance is actively working on the formation of a strong consortium alongside British and American partners, with the objective of supporting the long-term implementation of key infrastructure components within the project.

The meeting also reflected the growing institutional support surrounding this strategic momentum. Her Excellency the Minister, accompanied by members of the Embassy team, expressed her strong interest in facilitating the next stages of engagement. In particular, she indicated her willingness to help mobilize Congolese diplomatic representations in Washington D.C. and the Middle East, in order to support and streamline the financing pathways required for transformative projects of this scale.

This meeting marks a significant step forward in strengthening the connection between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and world-class international partners capable of contributing to the country’s long-term infrastructure ambitions. It also illustrates the role of Carousel Finance SA in building bridges between public institutions, strategic investors and leading technical partners, in support of structured and sustainable development.
