Carousel Finance conducted a strategic mission to Kinshasa alongside Dassault Systèmes, to advance the digital architecture of the Kinshasa Kia Mona project, the new city initiative led by the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
During this mission, our delegation held an in-depth working session with Thierry Katembwe, Principal Coordinator of the CSSPEVK, together with his technical team. Their commitment, methodological rigor and long-term institutional vision continue to give remarkable depth and coherence to a project of such national importance.
The field component of the mission took place on the future site of the new city. Walking across these lands offered a striking sense of scale and a tangible understanding of the transformation underway. The first land allocations are emerging, surveys are becoming increasingly precise, and engineering choices are now anchored directly in the physical reality of the terrain.
As the project progresses, one conviction grows stronger: Kinshasa Kia Mona will be built through the alliance of strong political leadership, solid institutional governance and cutting-edge technologies capable of modelling, planning and managing a territory of this magnitude with precision.
Dassault Systèmes’ contribution to the project — notably through digital twin technologies and advanced urban modelling tools — represents a fundamental step in structuring the technical backbone of the new city.
Carousel Finance is honoured to support this momentum alongside our partners, committed to delivering a transformative project for the capital and for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
